| Senior Quality Specialist
Salary: up to £35,000 P/A (Dependant on experience)

Job Overview
Provide specialised technical expertise in support of the Quality programme, including audits, corrective and preventive action monitoring, quality training, developing procedures and quality plans, specialised inspection and testing techniques, statistical methods, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
Duties and Responsibilities
To facilitate the development, improvement and administration of the International Government & Defence management system
To assist in training of process champions to map their processes.
Assisting Process Owners within Defence to develop, quality check, modify their processes in liaison with Corporate Process Owners for approval and publish their processes.
Updating the Quality team’s own processes and procedures.
To help develop Project Quality Plans, review submitted Quality Plans and provides advice on all aspects of quality planning
To audit compliance on Quality issues, including internal and external audits as necessary and ensure effective follow up ensure timely close out of findings
To provide training on Quality topics
To encourage and facilitate quality improvements; customer feedback and measurement and analysis of process and performance effectiveness and lessons learned within Defence Services.
To produce reports on quality activities to the Quality Manager as requested.
To liaise with HSE wherever practical to ensure all activities are coordinated and integrated between Q and HSE
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
At least 5 years experience in quality management e.g. auditing, process development, quality improvement.
At least 3 years in Construction/Engineering Industry or related industry
IRCA qualified Lead Assessor 9001:2008
Educated to degree level

The incumbent will ideally be a UK National (or have UK residence status and at least 5 years residence in the UK) and hold an appropriate quality assurance and quality control qualification with a proven track record quality management. Applicants educated to degree level or chartered quality status and are registered lead auditors are encouraged to apply.
