Maintenance Electrician - Falkland Islands
Salary per month is £1,743.94 + 20% bonus on completion of 13 months - Equating to £27,205

Holiday Leave - Each tour is 13 months. This usually means 6 months on, 1 month leave (fully paid), and 6 months on. (Working on a rotational leave basis you will spend 6 months in the Falklands and 1 month back in the UK for 27 month contract, and possibly more.)
Our client is a large International and major construction organisation here in the UK currently with a long term premier Facilities management and Property service maintenance contract for the Ministry of Defence.
Previous MOD / Defence experience or similar large scale Commercial, Leisure, Government Buildings, Retail or Industrial sector Properties and Estates such as Air Hangers, large industrial / military storage units / large scale kitchens and laundry facilities is not essential however is preferable.
They require a Maintenance Engineer / Electrician who can work on a very broad range of Electrical installations across commercial to industrial properties. The post holder will be responsible for Electrical PPM and Re-active Maintenance work of ranging sizes within the secure Defence Establishment, for its Power Supplies for this very busy military camp, including external lighting, and various kinds of camp Electrical Building services through to Electrical Maintenance on UPS, BMS, Commercial & Industrial laundry and catering equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the repair and maintenance of catering equipment, as contained in the MoD mess type facilities, (commercial equipment) such as Rational & Hobart steam ovens, pressure steamers, salamanders, bratt pans etc. One of the most important things for this role is lots of experience in fault finding and the ability to carry out repairs in this field.
Experience and competence is a must for this role as you will often be working in pressure situations and have tight timescales to contend with.
You will be ideally qualified with as much of the following registrations and qualifications - JIB registered and /or 16th Edition or 17th Edition and/or 2391 testing certification.
