Infrastructure Engineer Location: Reading Salary: £30,000p/a - £45,000p/a plus full benefits package (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications) Job description Our clients’ are seeking a chartered or near chartered civil engineer with experience in highway and transportation, drainage design, flood risk assessment, and dealing with utilities, to join their new infrastructure team in Reading. This opportunity would allow the successful applicant to play a key role in the development of our clients’ new office. To increase capacity within the infrastructure team, undertaking pre-planning, engineering master planning and design work on a range of large and small scale developments in the Reading area. The work is interesting and varied, including schemes for developers and land owners, local authorities, Government organisations, as well as overseas clients. Candidates should have experience in project management and client liaison. Candidate specification The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering together with appropriate numerate and computation skills. Experience in highways, drainage and external works design, using PDS (or other 3D modelling software packages) and WinDes Microdrainage software. Experience in preparation of Transportation Assessments and Flood Risk Assessments would be an advantage. Experience of AutoCAD and GIS software is desirable.Technical design and report writing, confidence in dealing with clients, utility companies, survey firms and local authorities.
