Electrician / Electrical Technician (various and multiple positions available) Aldermaston, Berkshire Salary Negotiable Our client is a Fortune 500 company and is a global leader in mechanical and electrical building services, construction, Civil Engineering, energy infrastructure, and end-to-end facilities services. They employ over 29,000 members of staff and design, build, install and maintain sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems, and offer integrated facilities management to businesses in virtually every economic sector throughout the UK. The successful candidate will provide an electrical maintenance and installation service to the site to ensure continuity and development of site operations in a safe and effective manner. Key Accountabilities: To carry out planned and reactive maintenance of sites electrical distribution, plant and equipment. Diagnose faults on machines and electrical systems. Recommend, plan and carry out cost effective repairs. Carries out minor new works i.e. install new electrical systems and machinery and equipment. Carry out electrical testing on systems and equipment and produce test records. To organise the tools, equipment, spares and materials for the above tasks. Liase and plan work in with internal customer’s requirements. Observation and reporting of electrical systems and infrastructure to identify potential needs. To assist and support other maintenance teams in their work at all times. Continuous improvement and customer satisfaction at all times. To partake in standby call-out scheme. To partake in site emergency response team. Personal Experience/Qualifications/Skills: Served an appropriate engineering apprenticeship in electrical and electronic maintenance. To have at least four years related experience of electrical maintenance and installation. To have a minimum of an ONC or NVQ 3 qualification. To have a working knowledge of the current I.E.E Regulations. To be conversant with general Safety, Health and Environment legislation and in particular the “Electricity at Work”. Regulations and Risk assessments. Other factors: The individual must be willing to undergo DV clearance Interested?
