Power Station Superintendent
Location: Mount Pleasant Base, Falkland Islands
Contract: 6 months
Salary: £2,917.00 to £3,167.00 Per Month

Our client is a leading specialist Defence and Security business offering extensive experience in the delivery of diverse projects and services to military and commercial customers around the world, their security-cleared staff can undertake full design, build, installation and project and programme management, as well as the operation, maintenance and through-life support of projects, as required.
The successful candidate must be an experienced Electrical biased Engineer with proven ability of the management of diesel power generation facilities, qualified to a recognised engineering standard in Electrical Engineering as they generate between 3 and 5 MW of power daily from a Power Station equipped with 1.48 MVA sets.
This is a 6-month contract. The suitable applicant has to hit the ground running with a minimum time for familiarisation. They are looking for a senior experienced manager of power generation or distribution facilities.
Job Purpose:
To provide high availability of the Main and Standby Power Stations and associated infrastructure at Mount Pleasant Base and the effective management of the Power Station team.
Key Results Areas
Responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of the power stations and distribution systems.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
Qualified to a recognised Engineer standard (Degree or HNC / HND or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
Experience as a Power Station Superintendent
Experience of diesel driven [baseload] power generation plant
Authorised Person Electrical is desirable, but not essential.
