Description Construction Procurement Manager Location: Reading, United Kingdom Salary: Negotiable to the right candidate Our client is a world class employee-owned management, engineering and development consultancy. Job description Experienced and highly professional construction and engineering Procurement Managers are urgently required to be embedded within their clients’ organisation. The successful applicants will be adding value to the clients’ procurement process by reviewing existing contractual arrangements, advising on all contractual matters, dealing with any disputes and implementing new forms of contracts. Their client is currently spending Billions of pounds on projects over the next 5 years, so this opportunity will be highly challenging but rewarding. Typical duties; Reviewing existing contracts Providing advisory and consultancy assistance to the clients procurement team Managing contractual disputes should they arise Contract writing Candidate specification Professional qualifications and experience: BSc in Quantity Surveying or LLB alternatively a similar level degree or vocational qualification Chartered Previous relevant experience with construction or engineering Willing to go through the governments security process and gain a suitable level of clearance Essential Competencies/Skills Technical awareness Able to report internally and externally Highly organised and professional Good communications and team working Proactive and self motivated Effective time management - efficient and adding value to projects Customer focus - engage in building sound relationships with the customer project team Proactive in personal development; academically and practically (experience) Good IT skills They offer you They offer excellent structured career development and training opportunities to all their staff, and encourage employees to gain experience on a variety of projects both in the UK and internationally.
