ASSIGNMENT BRIEF - AIRFIELD SUPPORT MANAGEMENT Location: London Salary: £35.00 - £40.00 per hour (negotiable to the right individual) Job Description Our client is searching for an Airfield Support Manager, initially on a consultancy basis involved in Bid Support for 3-4 months with the prospect of this leading to a full time managerial position. The role is likely to be required from 1st October 2008, working from their London office (Waterloo) and from home with some travel abroad. The position will pay and competitive day rate. Experience requirements are as follows: Essential • Detailed knowledge and experience of Airfield Support Management within the UK military. • Experience in management of all aspect of Airfield Support including bookings, passenger and freight handling, aircraft handling, transport and engineering operations. • Liaison with and integration of contractor staff and/or a civilian workforce into the delivery of the service. • Ability to provide innovation and efficiency in generating service improvements. Desirable • Previous military service (preferably with the RAF) in an Airfield Support management position. • Experience in working in a consultancy and bid support role with commercial organisations.
